Who writes it
ReshapeGuide is an independent publisher run by Nicolas. He is not a doctor, nurse or surgeon. Guides explain how procedures, costs and recovery generally work, using public sources such as medical boards, specialty societies, the FDA and peer-reviewed research, which each guide lists and links.
How the site makes money
ReshapeGuide itself sells nothing, has no forms and shows no ads. The same publisher runs a small set of local procedure sites that pass people who ask for a consultation to one participating clinic in their city; the clinic pays that site for the inquiry. Clinics are only accepted if their surgeons are board-certified and licensed.
When a guide links to one of those sites, the link is disclosed where it appears. No clinic, surgeon or advertiser pays to appear in, review or shape any guide, and the guides say plainly when a procedure isn't worth it, has a cheaper alternative, or carries risks a reader should weigh first.
How each guide is researched
- Primary sources first. Medical facts come from specialty societies, medical boards, the FDA and peer-reviewed studies, and each guide lists its sources at the end.
- Prices are dated and located. Costs vary by city and surgeon, so every price says where and when it applies and where it came from.
- Real quotes only. Patient stories are public posts or interviews quoted word for word, with links to the originals where public. Prices and outcomes in them are the person's own and aren't verified.
- No invented credentials, reviews or results. The site never makes up testimonials, surgeon credentials or before-and-after promises.
- Not medical advice. The guides explain how things generally work and who to ask: a board-certified surgeon, your doctor or a licensed provider.
Corrections
If a figure, fact or link is wrong or out of date, it gets fixed and the guide's "Updated" date changes. Send corrections to hello@reshapeguide.com.
